A cozy home base for family vacations or fishing trips, our two-bedroom cabins put you just steps from Sand Lake. Enjoy beautiful lake views, a kitchen for shared meals, and a comfortable place to settle in after a day on the water. Each cabin has its own layout, character, and charm.

Reservations begin at 3:00 PM on Saturday. A $250 deposit is required to hold your reservation and is generally nonrefundable if you cancel. We accept checks, most major credit cards, and Venmo.

Bring everyone together with an extra bedroom for your lakeside stay. Our three-bedroom cabins sit just steps from Sand Lake’s north shoreline, with beautiful views and room to relax. Each has its own distinct layout and character, offering a comfortable setting for unhurried mornings and evenings together.

Four days or more constitutes a weekly rental. In all cases, daily rentals are subject to availability.

Important Information for Your Stay

Just feet from Sand Lake’s north shoreline, our ten rustic lakeside cabins offer beautiful views and a simpler kind of Northwoods getaway. Built in the early to mid-20th century, these cabins were originally fishing shacks from across northern Minnesota and were brought together here at Island View. Each has its own layout, character, and a story shaped by generations of time spent at the lake. Clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully maintained, they offer a classic cabin experience for guests who appreciate history, simplicity, and life on the water.

Every cabin is thoroughly cleaned before arrival and includes a bathroom with a shower, bedding and pillows, and a kitchen with a stove, refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, toaster, dishes, cookware, and basic utensils. Toilet paper and paper towels are also provided. Outside, each cabin has its own picnic bench, charcoal grill, and fire pit for meals, s’mores, and evenings by the lake. The breeze off the lake often helps keep cabins comfortable, but guests may wish to bring fans during especially warm weather.

Please bring personal clothing, bath and beach towels, toiletries, food and drinks, sunscreen, insect repellent, and any fishing gear you plan to use. You are also welcome to bring your favorite games, lawn chairs, and supplies for life at the lake. Laundry facilities are available on site, and boat motors, larger fishing boats, and pontoons may be reserved separately.
